• Used extensively in Malaysia, Sambal Oelek is a basic paste or sauce made by blending chillies.
• Sambal is used as a base or in Rempah (spice paste) for cooking.
• It can also be served as a condiment at the dinner table.
• Suggested Uses:
  
• Simply spread thinly over steak or fish (perfect for mackerel) before grilling, or mix with mayonnaise to make a delicious dip for cooked prawns.
• May also be added to any dish to give it the heat of chilli and the sour of cane vinegar. Use with caution as it is hot!
• Ingredients: Water, dried chilli, cane vinegar, sugar, salt, modified corn starch.
